Who We Are

We are JR Custom Cycles, a professional motorcycle shop located just outside of Rockford, IL. We specialize in: customization, fabrication, manufacturing, repair, polishing, and painting of all kinds of motorcycles including: Choppers, Harley-Davidsons, Metrics, and Customs. Pretty much you name it, we can do it!

We have two main lines of Choppers that we specialize in creating. The first is our "Custom Choppers From Scratch". The prices range anywhere from $20,000 and up, all depending on what the customer wants. You can choose everything you want on the bike from the frame to the motor to the headlight. And rest assured, at JR Custom Cycles, we NEVER use "chopper kits". We are also licensed by the state of Illinois to manufacture motorcycles, so you can have the assurance that your chopper is going to be safe to ride. (And also save you possibly thousands of dollars on your motorcycle insurance.)

The second line of choppers that we make is our "Custom Rebuilds". This is where we take an existing motorcycle and customize it however you want. The prices range anywhere from $1000 to $15,000 depending on the amount of work, cost of parts, etc. You can bring in your old bike or you can purchase a "junk bike" from us. We fabricate many of our own parts, so that you can turn that old motorcycle into your dream bike. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg!

We also repair and perform routine maintenance (ex. oil changes, new tires, etc.) on all types of motoryclces. Our showroom is full of accessories available for purchase including: headlights, mirrors, footpegs, bandanas, etc. And if we don't have what you are looking for in-stock, you can browse through thousands of items in our suppliers' catalogs. The majority of the parts we order are in our shop and ready to be installed within just a couple of days.

If your budget won't afford you to buy new parts, and you have an old part made of aluminum or steel (such as handlebars, pipes, forward controls, etc.) that is looking dull, bring it in, and our polisher will have it shining like new chrome in a day or two.

JR Custom Cycles also boasts an award wining airbrush artist, and some of the most detailed motorcycle paint jobs in the state-line area. Painting can cost anywhere from $500 and up depending on what you want done and how many pieces there are to paint. We also have pre-painted, matching gas tanks and fenders available for immediate purchase.
